Dear Experts,
I worked on NW7.0 previously, and deployed VC applications will be placed under Portal Content Management > Portal Content > Visual Composer folder.
From there I can assign VC iViews into desired role.
But then, now with NW7.3, I cannot locate deployed VC applications under teh same folder. Please assist where can I find them and assign them to role.

I 'm very new and i just started using Visual Composer..
I'm in the process of migrating the models from older(7.0) version new version 7.3.
I noticed that some of the UI elements such as HTML Text are missing in the latest version and hence the migration is failed to create the models properly.
the migration log shows the below error message :
"Control 'HTM2' in element 'element name' is of type HtmlText and is not supportedThe control has been converted to an input field"

Hi all,
we have the following scenario: we created a composite view which should firstly filter the BPM_MY_PROCESSES_DS table by date and status and then pass the resulting ProcessIds via input mapping to a custom DS table, so that only these IDs are regarded for the output data.
Is there any solution or workaround to pass a list of dynamic parameters via the input mapping?

Hi,
We have a requirement of dynamically add or delete dropdownlist on click button.
I could see there are custom action for Add Row and Insert Row, but it always ran into error saying either "From" or "To" is missing.
Looks like these actions are only available for table and not for forms?
Please let me know if anyone has tried/achieved something similar.

We have updated our version of SAP Visual Composer from 7.3 SPS04 to 7.3 SPS09.
When checking the functionality of our created models, I noticed that only a specific graph had no graph data anymore.
So I tried recreating this graph to find out what is going on and figured out the following:
First I group in a table the different subjects to 3 big groups (also see screenshots). Then I aggegrated data to group by these 3 big groups and then count the number of subjects that each group has.
Before the update, I was then able to visualize this in a table/graph.However, when I use this logic now the graph is empty (and so is the table).
BUT, if I click on the groups to 'summarize' all the subjects in it, suddenly the graph and table do contain information.
Is there a solution for this problem as of course, I would like that the graph is populated without first clicking some table entries...

is there any way to get suggestions while typing as i can do it in WD4J with OVS? So that the control sends a request for every char that i type and populates the result in a dropdown? I would like to have a user selector where i can simply start typing and get suggested values from LDAP for example.

I'm working with the following:
Bapi_prodord_get_detail
bapi_prodord_change
I have an input form on the get detail presenting a table view of the production order header. This is editable.
The user can change the start and finish date and the order quantity.
there is a SAVE button in the table tool bar.
What I want to happen is for the SAVE event to call the Change bapi with populated values from the table and make the change.
I cannot get this to work.
I've tried a data store and Input thingies - all to no avail. (I'm a beginner!)

I can't find a way to sort dropdown dynamic list values in VC 7.2.
Visual Composer 7.0 has functionality for sort dropdown dynamic list according to help.sap.com documentation

But I can not find sort checkbox for Dynamical Entries List in VC 7.2.
And in 7.3 as well.
Does SAP remove this functionality from versions 7.1, 7.2, 7.3?

I have a requirement to draw charts by using BPM reporting data source in VC.
My scenario is that status for each task is mapped to reporting activity in BPM. For example my request status would be PENDING once BPM started and if approver approves it then status would again updated to APPROVED and REJECTED in case of rejection. Like wise status been updated with different values.
I have created new model and drawn charts with bpm reporting data source data. Resultant charts are showing each status for the same request but i want only recently updated status i.e if my request is rejected from approver then final status of the request will be REJECTED which i am looking for.
I have seen OCCURRENCE_T attribute in the data source and i think i can use it to take latest status.
I am new to VC. So please help me to write expression in some utility functions to exclude unnecessary statuses for the same request.

How can I add a "count" to a table view and see it through a column in the table?
I designed quickly a new function in the backend with no input and only output which give me the url off the bsp server. (since there is nobody in the house who can make the iview bsp template)
I select the function from find data and put it in the model which gives the output to a store. when I deploy I get an error 1.1
element 'z retrieve http server' is not in use
anybody any clue what to do ??

I'm trying to add/pass long text from Text Editor in form to BAPI_ALM_NOTIF_CREATE, but only the first line (132 characters) are in the notification that is created. The submit includes OBJTYPE = 'QMEL' and TEXTLINE @LongText (field name of Text Editor on form).
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,
when I created DataSources in VC by drag and drop BAPI-Funktions it works normally! Only when I want to create an object for the BAPI 'BAPI_BUS1240_GETDETAIL' I get the 2 line-Error:
Failed to create new undefined: Object required
Failed to create new BAPI_BUS1240_GETDETAIL: 'name' is null or not an object
For all other BAPIs 'BAPI_BUS1240' the creation works! I had a short look at the backend: All BAPIs 'BAPI_BUS1240' seems to be equal defined.
A look at the SAP notes don't helped me, too.
What could be the error?

I want to filter a Table: Filter out all datasets where the FieldXY is empty. I tried with the filteroperator with expressions like '... is equal to NOT NULL' or '... is equal to NOT ''', but without result! Can some one give me the right expression?
