Unable to create any model in VC 7.40

Hello VC Gurus,

 

I have a problem with my VC installed on NW 7.40 SPS 08. When I start VC in IE 11, the VC is executed but I'm not able to create new model. You can see attached printscreen. There are displayed some error messages in console view.

 

I have read this problem can be caused by IE issues http://scn.sap.com/thread/3781241 . I 've added the site into compatibility view list but it didn't help.

 

Do you have any suggestion what to do? I'll be grateful for any advice.

Use of Validation tab in Dropdown list properties

Hi All,

 

I have created input form  with 2 dropdown fields and submit button. While clicking submit button i need a  message if dropdown lists are not selected. So that I have entered one condtion in validation tab in dropdown list properties. But this validation is not working while clicking submit button.

 

Can you please guide how to use validation in VC?

field partial search

I'm with a doubt about the creation of a search field.

 

 

In the search field I would like to perform a partial search.

 

 

Ex.: Wor*

 

 

Return: Wordl

 

 

I've looked the functions provided by the visual composer did not find nothing.

VC migration from 7.0 to 7.3

HI All,

 

We are trying to migrate from  VC 7.0 to 7.3. We have pretty complex application with multiple nested views and union. In 7.0 everything is working fine and we have multiple output signal which has a same name( with filter and with table) when I migrated to 7.3 using migration tool It changed  duplicate output signal name as “_name”  . When I try to deploy its say’s the “-name “Event name is not defined.”  Since we have Union with 18 ports. Not sure how to fix this issue.

 

Any suggestion on resloving this issue  will be very helpful.

Is there a way to make a table report have different color rows? Is there a maximimum number of alternating colors you can have? Can the color be based on a value? For example, if the value is under 5, make it red.

Problem in integrating xMII with Visual Composer

hi Experts,

 

 

I followed this document:

<b>https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/40b92770-db81-2a10-8e91-f747188d8033</b> for integrating xMII with VC.

My xMII server Version is <b>11.5</b>, but in that document they used version 12, so I changed the connection URL to 11.5.

 

Connection URL: http://<myXMIIServerName>/Lighthammer/ALL_TEMPLATES?version=<i><b>11.5</b></i>&trace=true

 

Driver Class Name: <b>com.sap.xmii.custom.integration.jdbc.SAPxMIIJDBCDriver</b>

System Alias: XMII_JDBC

 

Connection test is <b>successful</b>, after configured System.

 

I am getting error while <b>FindData Seach</b> in VC,

Inputs given are,

 

System: XMII_JDBC (this is my system)

Look for: Look for a table

 

the error is, <b>Error-2305 Cannot retrive catalogs and schemas; check the connection to the selected systems Cannot access JDBC metadata</b>

 

Please guide me, where i made mistake.

Reset default values - unfilter action

Hi all,

 

How can I reset  input UI elements( Input Text or Drop Down) to the default values ?

I have a form that contains Drop Down, Date Picker etc.

This form used as a filter for some dashboard.

It contains 'filter' and 'unfilter' buttons.

 

The question is how can I put the default values to the form UI elements while clicking the 'unfilter' button.

Please note that unfilter action is working ( I pass default values to BAPI) but UI elements doesn't initilized to the default values.

Text editor with no scrollbar

Hi everybody

I'm on SP14 patch 1 hotfix 2 and experiencing a weird behaviour. Text editors filled with more data rows than they can display do not show any scrollbar on their side. Users have to work their way down the text editor with the keyboard in order to know if there's more text.

I can hardly believe this is a design feature... can anyone provide suggestions? Should I open an OSS?

Deployment error in Visual Composer

Hi,

 

While deploying a model in SAP Newtweaver visual composer , I get the following error . Can anyone how to fix this error?

Also, how do I access the log file?

Setting up SAP Service Registry to Visual Composer

I'm installing SAP NW CE 7.1 SR 5 to create a business scenario using ES Workplace from SAP ( ).

 

If it is possible, could someone please help me to understand why is it not appearing to me the services from Enterprise Services when searching in VC? When clicking Search or Advanced Search, does not appear any ES. In Advanced Search, only appear the Classification.

 

Below there are some setup I've already done in order to setup the AS Java System (CE 7.1):

- Configuration of Services Registry Webservice Destinations in  Configuration Management -> Scenarios -> Configuration Wizard

- Setup Destinations in SOA Management -> Technical Configuration -> Destination Template Management

- Uploaded update files (CR and UDDI) in SOA Management -> Technical Configuration -> Services Registry Configuration according to

- Setup ServicesRegistrySiPort in SOA Management -> Business Administraton -> Web Services Administration

- Create SLD destinations according to SAP Note 1104904

- Executed the URL to activate development mode in Portal according to SAP Note 1082325.

- Added the entry "155.56.56.170 pi.esworkplace.sap.com" into host Windows file.

- And off course restarted the J2EE Engine.

Also I checked the configuration made by Rudolf Held (SAP) in https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/90a385b6-885f-2a10-9e83-a171a4c33e27

R3 Data Service of a VC UI inside a task do not work

Hi,

I created a Visual Composer UI that includes one R3 Data Service to fetch some data from the backend ERP.

I assigned this UI to a Human Activity Task in our BPM model.

All of them are deployed to our BPM 7.3 Server.

 

The deployed WebDynpro Java UI (created by Visual Composer) works fine by its own. When we start the process and the UI start from a UWL task, the connection to the backend ERP is ignored.

 

Any ideas?

could you tell me where the vc models are stored at the machine?(path?)

We crashed our CE System and don't have a backup.
