Hi, We created a Visual Composer application which we would like to call from a workflow. Our Visual Composer application expects an input value called WI_ID. Our task is TS99700043 and its visualization contains DYNPARAM: wi_id=${item.externalId}. But the value is not passed on to the VC application Do you know how to fix this issue? Thanks, Eva

HTML View using an iView dynamically
Hello Visual Composer experts,
I want to use a SAP Enterprise Portal iView in a VC Model.
For that I use VC HTML View.
In the URL I put SAP EP IView reference, for instance :
<xxx> stands for development portal.
When I transport my VC model to quality portal I need to manually replace <xxx> by <yyy>.
How can I avoid this ? How can I dynamically address the portal ?
I found something about using "portal:" that will replace http://<server>:<port>/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/ but did not succeed to make it works.
In the VC HTML view I tried to used "pcd" instead of "http" but again did not make it.
Can someone give me a clue ?

System aliases and "destinations" in VC7.31
Hi,
We are trying to migrate from Visual Composer 7.0 system to Visual Composer 7.3. Our new VC system is currently 7.3 EhP 1 with SP 08 patch 2.
On our old VC system, we used a "System Alias" to connect to a backend "R/3" system (Netweaver AS ABAP). The way the system alias worked, it was defined in the portal to point to a particular backend. This allowed for deploying the model on multiple portals that might have different backend systems - typically, to handle Development, QA, and Production. For example, in the dev portal, the alias "ABC123" points to the dev R/3 system, in the QA portal the same alias "ABC123" points to the QA backend system, and in the production portal the same alias "ABC123" points to the Production backend system.
In the new system, my Basis person says he's configured the RFC destinations and the aliases to match what we had in the old system. However, in the Visual Composer "seach" panel when I select the option "R3 Data Services" all I see is the destinations (the system id's of the development backends). I do not see the system aliases in the list. I see the term "system alias" used all over the documentation so I am expecting to see the aliases in the list, not the destinations. However Basis insists it is configured correctly, and that perhaps by "system alias" the documentation is only referring to a specific RFC destination.
Shouldn't I be seeing the system aliases in the search panel, not the destinations? Can you suggest what might be wrong if I should be seeing the aliases but am not?

Visual Composer services are not found
Hi there,
I have installed SAP NetWeaver 2004S SR 1 according to the installation guide which was included in the installation files. After installation of the system (excluding MaxDB Database Manager and SQL Studio) I started the server. After that I installed Adobe SVG Viewer and tried to start Visual Composer by calling http://localhost:50100/VC. When I do so, I get two error messages stating <b>Server Error: Visual Composer services are not found</b> and <b>This product requires MSXML Parser v4.0</b>. What am I doing wrong?

How to start Visual Composer in SAP Portal 7.3?

I have a doubt about visual composer in SAP Netweaver 7.3. Do I need to install other components in order to start VC? for example Usage type Composition Application, Composition Environmetnt?
in SAP Netweaver 7.0 Ehp1, I only went to this link http://hostname:51000/VC but in NW 7.3 it doesn't work, or I have to go to another link?

I have a Web Dynpro Abap component within ERP 6 (O2C_CUST_COCKPIT_ETI_COMP) that retrieves a customer number from different search criteria.
How can I call and use (parameter customer number) the WDA component within VC ?

Clicking on a dropdown list shows a popup
Hi,
a quick Question: I have a VC model with one RF call and an entry list (see screenshot 1 - model.jpg attached). By the way, why I have to call the remote function and than the same procedure - the remote function is called by the entry lists service with input fields - again with configuring an entry list (?). But ok, I got the content. When I now click on the dropdown list, the content is shown as a popup window, not usually as selectable list (screenshot 2 - view.jpg).
Where can I change configurations or what ever to have a simple dropdown list functionality know in common web applications?

Deployment Problem in Visual Composer
Hi
I have a SAVE button in a VC screen which is appearing disabled in the deployment environment. The first time i deploy this VC screen for testing , i am able to see the deployment with SAVE button as disabled. 2nd time onwards if i try deploying the screen, it gives me 'Stop Running this Script' error popup and if I press YES in the popup compiling keeps on running and nothing happens , When NO is pressed the error popup reaapears .
Please find the snap shot attached for this error. Please reply if anybody can help resolve this error.

Number Format Mask Question
Hi guys, i´m trying to use a number mask because I want to set a mask from a number field, in other way I don´t want to change the type of the field to text because I expect always numbers and in VC I can´t found the way to validate with regex.
So, the problem is when I set the mask in the value field, it´s turn automatically to read-only, so at runtime the user can´t set a value and then makes the system format it.
How the format thing works in VC !?
Is the right place to use the format functions !?

VC for NW 7.4 - strange behavior
Hi,
after a long time our company's Portal installation got updated to 7.4, and I have to check the VC content I created years ago.
The content is still running, but the Visual Composer behaves strange and erroneous.
I'd like to illustrate this behavior with the Create New Model dialog:
On clicking the toolbar button, this dialog is shown. Interaction is only possible on the literal "Cancel", clicking there closes the dialog.
This dialog is shown once, after closing it, it won't open until a new logon to the Visual Composer.
I'm Using Internet Explorer 11, and Visual Composer for NetWeaver 7.4 SPS 07.
Did anyone face similar problems, and could provide a solution for me?
Is there a guidance, that helps me to check that my installation and configuration is proper?

Cannot deploy two applications with identical application aliases (context roots). Your application [sap.com/vcdev~sap_election_board_vcdev_impl] defines an application alias (context root)
[webdynpro/resources/sap.com/vcsap_election_board_priorities_form_impl] that is already in use by application [sap.com/sapsap_election_board_form_impl].
There are two possibilities in order to proceed with deployment:
1) DEFINE DIFFERENT APPLICATION ALIAS (CONTEXT ROOT) FOR YOUR APPLICATION [SAP.COM/VCDEV~SAP_ELECTION_BOARD_VCDEV_IMPL] (THIS IS THE PREFERRED OPTION).
2) UNDEPLOY THE APPLICATION [SAP.COM/SAP~SAP_ELECTION_BOARD_FORM_IMPL].

Real Urgent Help Required

I am real new to visual composer stuck in a problem The scenario is that we had a dashboard developed using VC which have multiple queries developed in Bex Query designer, I have to make a copy of the dashboard with some enchantments without disturbing existing dashboard
I started with saving queries with new names for my dashboard ,and start developing my Dashboard using VC. The problem occurred when i saw the old dashboard, that dashboard is showing new values in the table which were not there before.
I am really scared i have not touched the dashboard neither the queries used in it , only i have saved those query with new name
I don't know where those new column and values are coming in old dash board
Can anybody help me PLEASE its REAL URGENT

Unable to Insert row in tableview based on BI Input ready query
Hello,
I have created a VC Model (composite view) based on the BI Input ready query (BI Data source -> query). I have four columns in the query (Calender year, Account code, Currency and Amount) of which amount is mentioned as Input-ready in BEx Query designer.
I am able to change & save the amount column for the existing records through table view. But when I try to create and save a new row in table view, system is giving the error "You cannot perform any table operations( add, copy, delete) in this query"
I have referred to the discussion How to create new records through a VC form in ... | SCN, but could not able to resolve the issue.
I am using VC Version -> Visual composer for SAP Netweaver 7.3 SPS04.
Am I missing anything related to Query design or VC forms design ?
